What is it about?
Sarkar
or Subhash Nagre (Amitabh Bachchan) who is people's favorite and holds complete
support from the common man is hated by the opposition and business tycoon
because he cannot get him into their hands for all wrong moves. Amitabh
Bachchan's loyalty is hated by politicians, business tycoons, industrialists
and other real estate people who come together to kill him. In Sarkar
3, Amitabh's grandson Shivaji (Amit Sadh) also has equal importance who
at one point of the film becomes the main character.
What makes up the film?
Sarkar
3 is a revenge battle with different people having different reasons to take
over Sarkar and to kill him for his evilness towards them. Interestingly, his
grandson also has a grudge to betray him for his father's death. The plot goes
through the suspense of finding who could have killed each of the characters in
the screenplay with creating doubt in the viewer's mind. Finally, it takes
through a perfect climax to reveal the suspense.
What doesn't work?
Weak
characterisation is the first big let down of the film, followed by the weak
screenplay which does not grip the audiences. Sarkar 3 does not take the plot
to the next level, there is always a comparison for a sequel, and this sequel
doesn't carry the film to next level. The film promises to be a political drama
just has one fight sequence and which also does not impress the audiences.
What worked?
Amitabh
Bachchan's charisma has worked big time on screen. His sharp crispy dialogues
have worked brilliantly. The cinematography of the film is also to be credited
which does not disturb the viewers and has absolute control on perfect frames
till the end of the film. Above all Sarkar 3 has a pefect climax which is a big
plus to the film.
Well?
Sarkar
3 is a political drama which introduces Sarkar's grandson in this sequel who
joins Amitabh in doing good to people and successfully enters politics
alongside his grandfather. Apart from this inclusion, this series does not
promise anything new.
